Our story
Painted by hand, made with heart.
It started with a brush and a love of colour.
Dugdugii began with a simple idea: everyday pieces should feel special. Not perfect, not identical, but painted by real hands with real care.
Today we work with a small team of Pakistani craftspeople to create mugs, plates, bowls and serving pieces that bring colour and warmth to the table, one batch at a time.
Our craft process
-
Mould making and casting
Our skilled craftsmen create precise moulds so every piece takes its form with consistency and care. Clay is poured into the moulds, then refined for smooth edges and a perfect form.
-
Bisque firing
The cast pieces are kiln-fired at a high temperature to harden them and prepare them for painting.
-
Painting and detailing
Once bisque-fired, each piece is hand-painted with intricate patterns, textures and designs, so every piece has its own character and charm.
-
Glazing and final firing
Glaze is applied, followed by a second kiln firing for durability and a glossy finish. That is what makes our pieces microwave and dishwasher safe.

Pakistani craftsmanship
Pakistan has a long, rich ceramic tradition. We draw on that heritage and pair it with a contemporary eye, so each piece feels both rooted and fresh. Every purchase supports skilled local artisans and keeps the craft alive.
The people behind the pieces
Behind every Dugdugii piece is a person: the craftsman who cast and refined it, the painter who brought it to life and the hands that checked and packed it for you. We are a small team, and we know every piece we send out.
Small batch, on purpose
We make in small batches rather than mass production. It means less waste, more attention to every detail, and pieces made to be used and loved for years, not replaced.
